Booking & Payment Terms: All payments are to made, including the initial deposit, by direct deposit into the director’s linked company bank account. Upon confirmation of funds being received, you will be issued with a receipt and re-issued with the updated itinerary invoice for your referral. All hotels, lodges and luxury camps used in itineraries are of 3-5 stars quality. The best available accommodation is chosen at the time of booking that suits the purpose of the itinerary. Under certain circumstance, we use the best accommodation available. The campsites indicated in the Mt Kilimanjaro itineraries are subject to change based on, at times, unpredictable mountain weather conditions. All booking requests has to be made in writing and a 20% deposit is required for confirmation. All the payments should be free from bank charges.
Late Sign Up: In the event that you make a booking after arriving in Tanzania, we will endeavor to carry out your requests but you should understand the difficulties of late bookings in regards to obtaining accommodation, transport and guides without reasonable notice.
Cancellation and Refunds:
If you cancel your tour: - Cancellation of your tour must be made in writing to us and be signed by the person whose name and signature appears on the booking form. As we may incur considerable costs if you cancel, we will retain your deposit and may impose the following cancellation charges: 100 % refunded if the client decides to cancel 131 or more days in advance. 70 % refunded if the client decides to cancel 130 to 101 days in advance. 50 % refunded if the client decides to cancel 71 to 100 days in advance. 20 % refunded if the client decides to cancel 31 to 70 days in advance.
If we cancel your tour: - If we are forced to cancel your tour for reasons beyond our reasonable control (“force majeure”) we will offer you the choice of a reasonable refund of any monies paid or an alternative tour. We will accept no liability for any costs incurred by you for anything other than the monies paid to us for the tour.
Baggage allowance: Baggage is restricted to 15kg per person on the domestic flights within East Africa. Soft-sided luggage or duffels are preferable to hard luggage for storage on safari vehicles and on aircraft used within Africa. Large suitcases of dimensions greater than 24″ x 17″x 7″ are impossible to store in vehicles and on aircraft and should not be used. (Baggage and personal effects are at owner’s risk throughout the tour and baggage insurance for members is strongly recommended).
Shopping Trips: Driver/Guides will only stop at the shops/curios stall, which are recommended by Kamtu Africa Adventures. We provide escort at no extra cost to accompany guests on shopping tours so as to help with recommendation and save.
Medical Requirements: Good physical and mental health is essential for any tour. You may be travelling in rugged areas, away from immediate medical attention and facilities. Good physical condition is strongly recommended as preparation for all tours, especially those involving climbing. It is essential that any guest with a medical condition requiring regular treatment or which may be affected by vigorous activity, high altitude, heat, cold, or other natural phenomenon, or particular foods, notifies us and the tour leaders, in writing in advance of travel. We assumed no liability for medical care or for special dietary requirements. You may be requested to provide a Doctor’s Statement of good health.
Insurance: you are strongly advised to take out adequate insurance against all risks for an adequate sum. The Company does not undertake to provide medical care (except to call in the flying doctors transfer service in Kenya and Tanzania) and the Company does not accept liability for any inadequate care provided.
Liability: We act as agent for hotels, transportation services and facilities provided by other parties, firms or corporations and cannot be held responsible for delays, loss, damage, injury or accident, change of itineraries which may occur through the negligence of any individual or company entrusted with such service. The rates quoted are subject to change without prior warning or should there be any increases in Park Fees, Fuel, or Vat, Third Party Services or any other circumstances beyond our control in the countries featured in this quote/booking. *Kamtu Africa Adventures cannot be held responsible should airlines discontinue flights on certain routing or change scheduled timetables resulting in missed connections etc. Should an amendment in a routing or itinerary be necessary we will require you accordingly.
Force Majeure: The Company cannot accept any liability or pay any compensation in respect to delays or lack of performance affected by ‘force majeure’. Force Majeure means any event which the Kamtu Africa Adventures has no control over and even in circumstances where all due care was taken the event could not have been avoided or foreseen. This includes events such as war, or threat of war, riot, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events outside the Kamtu Africa Adventures’s control.
